Black Eyed Peas

It’s almost impossible to listen to the radio or hang out at a club for more than five minutes without hearing a Black Eyed Peas song. Formed in 1995, the group that started as an alternative hip-hop outfit has become one of the world’s biggest pop-dance music acts, with more than 31 million albums and 31 million singles sold worldwide. Their ‘I Got a Feeling’ reached number one on 20 international charts, and won a Grammy. (They have four others.) With that track following on the heels of their smash ‘Boom Boom Pow’, the band set a record for longest continuous run by an artist at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, with 17 weeks.

The Peas’ first international hit, 2003’s ‘Where Is the Love?’, topped charts in ten countries. Since then, Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo have amassed fans around the globe; in 2010, they performed a set at a FIFA World Cup concert with more than 700 million viewers watching around the world.
