British alt-rock band Coldplay have sold more than 55 million records worldwide and won four EMAs as well as seven Brit Awards, four VMAs and seven Grammys. From 2000 debut album ‘Parachutes’ onward they have been one of the world’s premier rock outfits. Their latest album, 2011’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’, has sold over 6 million copies worldwide and topped the charts in over 34 countries. Coldplay opened the 2011 EMA performing the lead single ‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall.’
